Classic Sears and Roebuck 5 speed men's bicycle. Manufactured in Austria by "Puch," in what we believe to be the 1960s. Just refurbished, tuned up and ready to ride. German made 27 inch Schurmann steel wheels mounted with black wall tires. The braking surface on these wheels are knurled for improved stopping. Handle bar mounted hand brakes operate the front and rear alloy Altenburger brakes. Full-sized chrome fenders, original black and white seat with matching black grips. All-steel 22 inch lugged frame. A tough 3 piece chrome crank set. Up-right tourist-style handlebars. Five speed Italian made Campagnolo shifter and derailleur. Shifter is mounted on the top-tube. Produced for only a few years this unique shifter location was later outlawed by the U.S. Government. Chrome rear-mounted steel luggage rack from the 60s, popular today because they were manufactured without a reflector. Now days all racks must have either a reflector or a bracket to mount one.
